Wall of Fame Assembly
Last Friday six former King's High School pupils were inducted to the Wall of Fame at a special assembly.
The inductees were:
- Professor Peter Adams (1972-76)
Top Musician in Dunedin and abroad and Music Academic at the University of Otago
- John Campbell (1952-56) Posthumous Award
A vital man in the rejuvenation of the New Zealand RSA and added support and care achieved for veterans
- Ivan Donaldson (1955-59)
Eminent Neurologist and New Zealand Wine Industry entrepreneur
- Colin Fraser (1945-48)
An esteemed High Court Judge
- Athol (Al) Meder (1955-59)
A US-based business leader in high purity distilled and bottled water across the globe
- Derek Metzger (1975-79)
Top entertainment performer as an Actor/Singer/Dancer with a career encompassing television, recording, concert, cabaret and theatre stage in Australasia, Asia, North America, and London’s West End
After the citations were read there was an opportunity for each inductee to share memories about their time at school or, have read on their behalf, an inspirational message and words of wisdom for the students.
