A group of students have embarked on a journey to increase their cultural self-awareness.

Education New Zealand (ENZ) provided Scholarships for a small group of students across New Zealand to partner up with students in Thailand and undertake a 'Global Citizenship Certificate' (GCC). Due to the current situation globally the students are connecting virtually.

The GCC opportunity gives our boys the chance to develop a broad set of skills, develop new friendships with students in Thailand and ‘open up’ about culture, themselves, their challenges and success as young learners.

Tommy Chen Yr 13, Andrew Derks Yr 13, Sasha Gaffikin Yr 12 and Cam Fraser Yr 12 were quick to put their hands up to participate.

This is a great opportunity to see the value of International Education within our school, just 'virtually' at present.
