Geographer Jacob Collie has been selected for the 2020 New Zealand Geography Olympiad Team going to Istanbul, Turkey.

He gained selection after making the New Zealand finals out of a field of near 50 entries. Jacob will be one of four team members to travel next August and take on the best Under 19 Geographers in the world. 

Close to 60 countries and 200 competitors undertake written response, multi media and fieldwork tasks to gain points towards medals for their countries.
