Mask workshop inspires transformations!

Jo Harford —

On Tuesday, Jacob Rajan a writer and performer with the very successful Indian Ink Theatre Company, shared his Balinese masks and considerable knowledge with Year 10 Drama students.

Indian Ink are currently touring with their latest production, "The Pickle King" and, as a part of the tour, they are working with school students.

The process of creating and working with a mask was taught to the boys; masks can be an incredibly powerful tool for actors and one that students do not often get to explore, so we were incredibly lucky to have Jacob with us.

Then on Thursday, our Year 11 students went to see Indian Ink's show,  "The Pickle King" which is currently on at the Fortune Theatre. It's a very moving show and we strongly encourage you all to get along to the Fortune this weekend to see it.
