The Sports Term in Review
Incredibly we are making a close on Term 2 at breakneck speed!
It has been a sporting term of what ifs, what could of been, and what can be with plenty more to come post holidays.
I have to acknowledge our exceptional coaches, parents, managers, and support crews that give many valuable hours of their time to help our Sports prosper, I sincerely thank you and none of what we do would be possible without your selfless support!
Personally, I have really enjoyed driving our boys to trainings, competition games, being involved with social sports during the week, getting to know them more as people, and watching our young men giving it their best shot in their chosen pursuits.
Please consider that any involvement in any level of sport compliments success in the classroom.
Observation of Interschool fixtures involving disciplines such as Chess and Debating has also been intriguing to watch and support, to a point of finding myself in a solid conversation with our Head Boy, Ted Menzies on the topic of Debating, understanding that I have my severe limitations in this subject matter!
I know we have the capability and ability to compete with the very best schools in the country across various codes, and we have some outstanding young men competing at a national, local, and international level in individual and team sports with great success.
I wish you all the very best health and happiness for the upcoming holiday period and look forward to seeing you all in Term 3.
