Congratulations to Steve Salelea - Salter Trophy Recipient for 2021. The Salter Trophy is awarded to the top sportsman at King's High School. Steve has been selected for the New Zealand Secondary School Rugby Barbarian team for two years as a prop; a wonderful achievement.

Due to indoor COVID restrictions the 2021 King’s Sports Awards involved a smaller but very talented contingent of King’s athletes.

The special guest was the legendary New Zealand Track and Field coach, Brent Ward, who shared his experience of what is required to coach at the highest level.

Cups and trophies were awarded to athletes from all King’s 1st teams as well as special prize winners.

Team of the Year award went to the 1st Touch Rugby team

King’s Lions' 1st Touch team won this award for its superb second place finish at the National Tournament.
