ONZM  - David Ross Black

To be Officers of the said Order: For services to health

Ross Black founded the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust and was Chairman from 1998 to 2019. He spearheaded the $3.5 million dollar fundraising drive to establish a dedicated rescue helicopter in the Otago area. 

QSM - Paul Tyson

The Queens Service Medal:  For services to sport and the community

Paul Tyson, a standout achievement in his life was being made a life member of Otago Children’s Athletics, New Zealand Children’s Athletics, and Athletics Otago.  

Mr Tyson has a lifetime of involvement with sport in a voluntary capacity, particularly athletics, from grassroots to national governance level.
