Elliot's success in Surfing continued over the break when he attended the NZ Surfing championships at Piha, gaining some impressive results.

He placed 2nd in the U18 section which were held in very difficult conditions. He then went on to compete in the Open Men’s competition, placing 3rd. In recognition of his performance in the Open Men’s, he received the “Most Outstanding Surfer Award” an award which usually goes to the surfer who placed 1st.

Finally, he received the “President’s Scholarship Award” - A 10-day trip to Fiji.

Elliot is no stranger to the pages of Kingsweek. His success in his chosen field is testament to the hours of practice that he devotes to surfing.
