Here is advance notice of information sessions for senior students going on to Tertiary study in Dunedin next year.

University of Otago Virtual Open Day

Date: Thursday 23rd July 3:30-7:30pm

Our Virtual Open Day allows you to explore all that Otago has to offer right from your computer. Step into our virtual expo hall and access all the information you need to know about studying at Otago:

· Ask questions via live chat

· Take a virtual campus tour

· Check out short presentations from over 100 of our academic programmes and courses

· Get a peek at each of the 14 undergraduate residential colleges and the Locals Programme

· Find out about scholarships and other key services for students 

There will be a registration required for the virtual open day. This link will be posted on our website when available and Ms May will notify once it is received too.

Dunedin Tertiary Open Day

Date: Monday 10 August 2020 9 – 3.30pm 

On-Campus Open Day is an opportunity to come down to Dunedin, check out the University, explore Otago Polytech and to discover for yourself what life is like as a student in Dunedin:

· Take a campus tour

· Tour our residential colleges

· Check out presentations about a wide range of subjects offered at Otago

· Talk with staff from across the University at the Expo 

Year 13 and extension Year 12 students will be released to attend for the day. 

All other Year 12s will need parent permission to attend. Notes or emails for Year 12s. Parents are most welcome too.


University of Otago Information Evening

Date: Thursday 2 July in the St David’s 1 Lecture Theatre, University of Otago 6.30-8pm.

Prospective senior students and their parents and caregivers are invited to come along to hear about study options, scholarships, support services, accommodation options and much more. To accommodate audience number restrictions and comply with health and safety regulations, attendees must register their intention to attend. Please complete the registration form here:

University of Canterbury Liaison Visit in Term 3

Date: Wednesday 9 September 1 - 1.30pm, in PAC.

This should be of particular interest for boys in Years 12 and 13 who are thinking of going to Canterbury, particularly for Engineering.

Parents are most welcome to attend.

Registrations for the Lincoln University Virtual Open Day are now open.

Hands on at Otago
