My artwork represents my mixed heritage and upbringing, by showing the countries I identify with.

My compass in the middle points in the direction of the Japanese flag, which is where I was raised. The koru patterns and NZ letters, represent the bicultural country where I now live. 

I communicate my background and things I am passionate about, by using tint, tone, reflection and inverted colours in my painting.
