Last weekend at the OSTAS 2023 Otago Southland Theatre Awards Declan won Best Supporting Male in a Musical for his role as Scar in 'The Lion King Jnr'. 

The OSTAS recognise all productions in Otago and Southland during 2023 and that included 'The Jersey Boys', 'That Bloody Woman' and 'Legally Blonde' so this is an extraordinary achievement for a school aged student (16 at the time) to take this award.
