Olympic Inspiration at Assembly

Jo Harford —

On Thursday, Robbie Johnston, former two-time Olympic runner, came to speak to the boys about the the philosophy of the Olympics and the values that it promotes.

Robbie stressed to the boys that they need a plan and that, once they have one, they should never give up.

Robbie visited as part of his role as an Olympic Ambassador, a programme where former Olympians can "share their personal achievements and inspiring stories with young New Zealanders right across the country and, in sharing their stories, they share the importance of living the Olympic Values of Excellence, Friendship, and Respect." http://www.olympic.org.nz/news/olympic-ambassadors-confirmed-for-2017/
