Ngā Manu Kōrero Otago/Southland Regional Secondary School Speech Competition

Last Friday, four King’s students competed in the Ngā Manu Kōrero Speech Competition for the Otago/Southland Region, held at Taieri College.

Ethan Rangitutia competed in the Junior English Section, Andre Taani in Junior Māori, Taumana Pene in Senior English and Tyson Harmer in Senior Māori.

Ethan and Andre delivered strong performances, both placing third in their respective sections. Taumana came second in the impromptu English Speech Section, and first for his Prepared Speech, coming out with an overall placing of first for Senior English. 

 Taumana will compete in the national Ngā Manu Kōrero Competition in Palmerston North next term. Congratulations to all four speakers!
