Introducing: Careers Advisor Mrs Campbell

Jo Harford —

Mrs Rachel Campbell is now the Careers Advisor at King's. Mrs Campbell joined King's in 2019 as a Teacher Aide and is enjoying her new role at the school.

She was the Careers Advisor at Shirley Boys' in Christchurch before moving to Dunedin and has just completed her NZ Diploma in Careers Development. Mrs Campbell is available on Fridays from 9-2pm and has 4 hours during the week when she will make careers appointments too.
All Year 13s are expected to have a careers interview and boys might approach Mrs Campbell in the Careers office in the Library for any careers information.
She can be emailed at careers@kingshigh.school.nz

We had an informative meeting with Greg Heller from Otago University  this week giving an introduction to university study.

Please take note of the dates below:

Dunedin Tertiary Open Day on Monday 4 May.
All Year 13s will be free to attend on this day. The University and Otago Polytechnic will be open and will provide plenty of information for students who might be considering attending in 2021.
They will also be open on Sunday 3 May should parents wish to see what's on offer and to visit any of the accommodation colleges which will be open too.

Some boys might be interested in attending other University Open Days if they are thinking of going to another NZ university.
