Balmacewen Intermediate take out the Premier Award at Invitational Touch Tournament
Congratulations to the King's 1st Touch team for running a great Touch Tournament last Friday 4th November.
It was the second year of the King’s Year 8 Touch Invitational Tournament. The schools that attended this year were Tahuna Normal Intermediate, Dunedin North Intermediate, East Otago High School and Balmacewen Intermediate. It was a great opportunity to offer a competitive level of Touch competition in the community.
The King’s 1st Touch team provided some entertainment at half time to go along with their commentary during the games. With many ‘goodies’ being awarded to each team for recognition of sportsmanship and best team-player. The students also got to have an all day BBQ and drinks in the sun.
Balmacewen Intermediate took out the Premier Award defeating last years champions, Tahuna Intermediate, narrowly in the final.
We would like to thank all staff involved such as Mr Smith, Mr Dickson and Mr Reggett for the prizes, food and their support.
