Key Delegates visit from China

King’s and Queen’s High Schools were honoured to host key delegates from Shanghai, China, on Friday.

They were able to see one or two classrooms, and discuss King’s strengths and the positives for students visiting and living in Dunedin.

We welcomed the following key delegates: Mr Mao Jifang the General Manager of Shanghai UAB Education Consulting Co. LTD, the President, Mr Xu Jian and Assistant President from Shanghai World Foreign Language Education Group, Ms Wang Qian, Principal of Shanghai World Foreign Language Kindergarten, Ms Wu Peiyun Shanghai Baoshan World Foreign Language School and Ms Chen Gang SK Hynix Wuxi Foreign Language Primary School.

Dunedin based Education Agent Scott Hou and Hui Zhang from the Dunedin City Council have been instrumental in re-establishing the connections with Shanghai.

Colleagues Antony Deaker of Enterprise Dunedin and Akari Anfield of Enterprise Dunedin were also present and have been instrumental in their support and championing of relations with China.

King’s is excited to welcome back students from Shanghai, Dunedin’s sister city. We look forward to continuing to strengthen this in 2024 and beyond.
