· Grahame Charles Sydney 

To be “Knights Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit”, for services to art. Mr Sydney attended King’s High School from 1962 – 1966. He was Dux in 1966.

• Mr Grahame Sydney's art career spans five decades across mediums including oil painting, watercolour, egg tempera, lithographs, etching, and photography.  Mr Sydney is best known for his landscapes of Central Otago, New Zealand.

· Mary Joan McFarlane 

To be Officers of the New Zealand Order of Merit: Mary Joan McFarlane, for services to swimming. Mrs McFarlane is an Exam Assistant at King’s High School.

• Mrs Mary McFarlane began her involvement with swimming officiating and administration in 1970 and has since officiated in various volunteer roles across local, national, and international level events for 50 years.  She has acted as a Manager numerous times for Otago swim teams, for New Zealand swim meetings and has held various administrative and leadership roles with Swimming Otago.
