From the Rector's Desk

Nick McIvor —

It’s time to get on with it. Time to resume teaching and learning. Time to get back into the routines and relationships we can count on for personal growth and excellence at King’s. We’re back and up for tackling the new challenges and opportunities on the way; our first ‘full house’ across the Year Levels was on Wednesday.

At King’s we’re determined not to put the boys’ education on hold while we’re adapting to Omicron. We will aim to modify and adapt rather than cancel where we can. Perhaps in times of uncertainty, we can also provide structure, support, and reassurance that’s even more important for our boys given changes happening beyond the gate.

Thank you for the positive responses we’ve had so far to initiating the Red Light measures. The boys have adjusted very quickly. And soon turned their attention to where we really want it to be restarting their studies and co-curricular activity, and renewing their education and connections to us and each other.

Warm regards,

Nick McIvor
