King's Boy Achieves Highest Rugby Honour

Niall Gregg —

Congratulations went out to Year 12 student, Dylan Pledger in October who was selected for the NZ Schools Team and played against Fiji U18's Team.

Selection for NZ Schools is the highest Rugby honour a schoolboy can achieve in NZ. It is the top schoolboy team in the country and therefore only the best players in the country get selected. To achieve this as a Year 13 student is an enormous feat but to achieve it as a Year 12 student like Dylan, is just phenomenal. Dylan came off the bench in their first game and started in their second game, scoring two tries.
