Communicating with ‘us’

Cursey Adie-Cropley —

We are always keen to hear from our families and agents so please know we are happy to receive an email, phone call, text message or have a zoom or skype meeting. We can arrange translation if needed.

Most of you will know we as a school report to parents about their son's progress:

  • School reports = these are sent to parents and or agents twice a year

  • Weekly notes = this is a weekly report on the student’s motivation and effort levels. It is not always an indication of a student’s assessment results. It provides homestays, parents and or agents regular information about a students ‘effort levels’. The system is rated1-5, 4 and 5 considered ‘high motivation’. And 1 or a 2 is low
  • Tracking report = every term you do not receive a ‘formal school report’ you will receive a tracking report. This indicates if the student is ‘on track to succeed’ during the year
  • Personal feedback = The Director of International students meets with each student individually to talk about their goals, progress and study plans at least twice a term.

If for any reason you do not get reports please email: Teresa (Tess) Robertson at international@kingshigh.school.nz

Each week King’s sends out a school weekly newsletter called King's Week = please see the link as an example. If you do not receive this and you would like to please let me know

We also have a closed/private Facebook Group for Parents, Students and or Agents of our International department here at King’s. We would love you to join but if you cannot access it let me know and I will ‘accept’ your entry. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1056859361066491

Thanks again everyone for supporting us at King’s High School.

Warm Regards, The International Team
