Speech Competition
Last week the Japanese language Otaru Speech Competition was held at the Otago City Council buildings.
Leo Koyama competed in the Alternative section and Archie O’Sullivan competed in the Senior section. Archie's result was particularly impressive considering he only began learning Japanese last year.
Callum Toomey (who won the competition last year and went on to get third in the International event) was one of the three judges.
Both boys represented the school well and spoke with confidence.
