Digital Technology Camp

Dejan Blagojevity —

At King’s, Year 9 and 10 Digital Technology students have been exploring the fascinating world of programming through hands-on projects using Micro:Bits this week.

These pocket-sized computers, equipped with features like buttons, LED displays, motion sensors, and Bluetooth connectivity, are ideal tools for introducing young learners to coding and problem-solving.

Students showcased their creativity by programming Micro:Bits to complete tasks such as a number-guessing game, rock-paper-scissors game, and even basic AI simulations.

Through iterative playtesting sessions, they refined their programmes, learned to debug effectively, and enhanced their logical thinking skills.

To celebrate their achievements, prizes were awarded upon the completion of individual mini-projects, encouraging students to work hard, innovate, and take pride in their creations.

Digital Technology at King’s High School continues to inspire and challenge students, equipping them with essential skills for the future.
