Congratulations to several of our Senior and Junior Boys. Four Seniors are away at National Champs this weekend and several Juniors trialed over the weekend of Sunday 22nd Sept and made the Metro Touch Teams.

Senior Success

Meihana Schooner, Hala Moata'ane , Taine Hand and Logan Wilson will head away up north to their respective Training Camps to compete for a final spot in the U20 and U18 Mens' Touch Teams. 

Meihana and Hala were selected earlier in the year for the U20 Mens' Squad and Taine and Logan in the U18s Squad. 40 boys selected was reduced to 20 at the 1st training camp. During these school holidays, the 2nd training camp will be underway with the 20 boys being reduced to a top 16 in the respective age groups. This group will then prepare for the Youth Touch World Cup in 2020.

IMPORTANT TOUCH DATES:

· Touch Sports Performance Programme – All students that signed up for this in Term 1 need to check the Touch Notice board as it begins in Term 4, Week 1.

       Yr 10 – Rua P4 & Ono P3

       Yr 9 – Rima P5 & Ono P2

· King’s Junior Touch Invitational Tournament is next term (Fri 18th October) and affects both the Yr 9 and 10 Touch Academies. See Mr Koni for more information.

· Metro Schools' Secondary Touch Competition begins on the Tuesday 26th October at Kensington Oval. Check the team lists outside the window of Room 29. Any new boys that wish to be part of a team must see Mr Koni in Room 29.

· All King's 1st Players – Reminder that competition begins in week 1, Term 4. Check the training and games schedule outside the window of Room 29.
