The Raiona Award is given for embodying the King's Lion's Raiona – brave, attacking, protective and 'we before me' qualities.

Junior Hockey Team Player – Nathan Maree.

Nathan is a quiet and unassuming player on the field who always puts the team needs before his own. As a defender, he showed he was brave and protective as the last line of defence on Monday night when he was often outnumbered by the opposition mounting a counterattack.

He was always there with a deft touch, or he would make a clutch tackle to defuse a tense situation that aided the team to come away with a well fought 2-1 victory.
