A New Term is Calling
This week a shortlist of priorities was put to the boys for Term 3:
1. Gain new knowledge:
Work to expand what you know and can do over the next 10 weeks
2. Build more character:
Become more of the sort of person you would like to be or need to be
3. Create Excellence from stepping up not standing still
‘Time and tide wait for no man’ as Chaucer famously mused, and we need the boys to get on with it to commit to their education in new ways this term, so they keep advancing with our weight and will behind them.
From this week we also began to give additional attention to our Focus Value for the Term: ‘Respect’. Central to this will be building understanding of ‘situational respect’, that is, what respect looks like at different times, when doing different things, in different places. The aim being to alert the boys to how respect is not only an essential value but a highly transferrable one that can guide us in many situations to serve us and others well.
All the best as we head towards Spring. There are few busy months before us and each one holds great promise and opportunity, and in the case of King’s, more acquisition of proud Personal Excellence.
Best wishes
