This is a fun, hands-on environment and you get to work with some of New Zealand’s top researchers. It is hosted by the MacDiarmid Institute and is a week long Science Camp for current Yr. 12 and 13 Maori and Pacific Island students with a genuine passion for the sciences. It is held in Dunedin from January 13th - 18th, 2019 at Otago University OR Massey University in Palmerston North. All flight, accommodation and meals are included. Places are strictly limited. It’s all FREE - Applications open on August 13th and close Sept. 9th, 2018

2) The Rotary Science and Technology Forum https://rotary9940.org/page/science-and-technology-forum

This is held in January 2019 - exact dates to be confirmed. This is an opportunity for OUTSTANDING all round Science, Maths and Technology students in Year 12 who will be returning to Year 13 and are planning to study the sciences or technology at tertiary level.

This fully residential programme is conducted by Rotary and the Tertiary Institutions of Auckland. By the end of the Forum students should have a better understanding of the tertiary courses they wish to follow and a fuller appreciation of the place of science and technology in the wider community. It also provides an opportunity for high achieving students to spend time with similar minded people, and the experiences gained invariably result in overall personal growth and renewed motivation to succeed.
