Art Gallery trip inspiring chance to explore creative boundaries
Last Friday two Year 10 Art classes embarked on a field trip to the Dunedin Public Art Gallery. During this visit, the students were immersed in a diverse collection of artwork, showcasing both New Zealand and international pieces.
Additionally, they had the privilege of delving into the narratives of the rich history of Aotearoa introduced to them by the gallery’s educator Libbi Caskey. Following an inspiring tour of the gallery, the students were given the chance to explore their creative boundaries using various artistic mediums, including clay.
They put into practice the skills and concepts they had acquired during their gallery visit, applying them to their practical projects in the gallery's dedicated classroom.
