Toby Dobson and Connor Knights are now representatives on the Dunedin Youth Council for 2022.

Both Toby and Connor see this as an opportunity to influence the ‘student voice’ around issues and events in the city, for youth.

Connor acknowledges teen vaping is a problem and they are working with a sub committee to consider further strategies and information that may help to prevent young adults from starting. Toby sees the importance of listening to the LGBTI community and ensuring representation.

Both students value the opportunity to also connect with the student council here at King’s to promote awareness of issues, seek support with events and gain information and perspectives from our diverse community.   

We wish Toby and Connor all the best on the Council in 2022.
