The Year 9 Good Man Evening
Thank you to everyone who was with us last night at the 2024 Good Man Evening. It was, as always, nothing too serious or intense, but it still retains its great value as one night when a bit more focus is given to the special connection that can exist between boys and a significant male in their life.
This night traces its origins back to the groundbreaking work of dedicated people like Celia Lashlie. She visited boys’ schools throughout New Zealand over twenty years ago to study and encourage positive relationships and understanding of the importance of men in helping boys to grow into good men.
The programme last night was geared towards building good communication and collaboration. We’re already looking forward to the 2025 Evening.
A special thank you goes to Mark Faed for leading the evening and training the many Year 12 and 13 boys who volunteered to help.
