Community Clean Up raises money for the Dunedin Night Shelter
On Sunday October 15, students of King’s High School and our wider school community hit the streets and carparks of Dunedin as part of our (now annual) Community Clean Up.
Thirty-eight students, with over a dozen extra family and friends, spent the best part of three hours collecting rubbish and keeping our city beautiful. Some areas of focus were the carpark at Pak’n’Save/The Warehouse, Portsmouth Drive, and the Carpark around the Bus Hub/Central City Countdown. The weather managed to hold off for the run-time of the clean up, which was a real boon for the event.
The event is organised by Chris George (Chairman of the Kingsmen), with assistance from the Student Council. This year, all funds raised are to be donated to the Dunedin Night Shelter.
Thank you to all who participated, we hope to see you again next year!
