Te Ao Haka achievement standards trialled

Matu Pene —

King's and Queen's High Schools are two of only 33 high performing Kapa Haka schools from across Aotearoa (and five in the South Island) who have been selected by the Ministry of Education to trial the new Maori Performing Arts Achievement Standards.

On Thursday, several students from both schools were working with Komene Cassidy on the Te Ao Haka standards which, when implemented, will be offered at Levels 1, 2 and 3 NCEA.
