Applications for Hands-on Programme close 8th September

Rachel Campbell —

The Hands-on opportunity at Otago University for Year 12 and 13 students takes place over five days in January 2023.

What is Hands-on at Otago?

Students stay in one of two student colleges on campus and choose their favourite subject to study for the week from a range of 33 topics – from humanities, business, health sciences and sciences – allowing them to get hands-on in a University Department.

Last year we had more applications than places on offer, so it is important that students prepare their applications with care. The number of participants is limited to 400. The supporting material supplied by students is read by members of the Hands-On at Otago Committee and is often the deciding factor in their acceptance.

To find out more or to apply go to: otago.ac.nz/hands-on-at-otago

On the website you can also discover what other activities are on offer, how much the week will cost, ideas for fundraising, information on the Scholarships that are available, transport options and accommodation details.

All applications and Scholarship applications for Hands-on at Otago will need to be submitted through the Hands-on at Otago webpage.

Applications for Hands-on at Otago close: Thursday 8th September 2022.
