"Hands-on Otago" - applications for January 2022 'open'
Hands-On Otago
Applications are now open for 2022 Year 12 and 13 students. This event is held from 16-21 January 2022. Applications close on 24th September. Some Scholarships are available. If you would like more information please head to the following link: www.otago.ac.nz/hands-on-at-otago/.
Course Selection Help for Tertiary Study
Key Tertiary institutions will be at King's High School during this term to help students with course selection and any other issues they may have. Make sure you come along and ask any questions you might have.
- University of Canterbury – Monday 16th August; 11am in the Williams Room
- Otago Polytechnic – Thursday 19th August (all day). Sessions will be held in the Library. A timetable will be provided closer to the time of when to attend based on your area of study
- Victoria University – Monday 6th September; 3pm in the Library
Scholarship Application Closing Dates
Scholarship applications for key Universities close on the following dates. Note that there is no leniency on closing dates/times and submission after these dates will mean your application is not considered.
- University of Otago – 15th August
- University of Canterbury – 15th August (11.59pm)
- Victoria University – 1st September
Application Closing Dates
- Applications for the Teacher Education Programme at University of Otago close on 31st August.
- Applications for the School of Performing Arts at University of Otago close on 1st September.

Hall of Residence Applications
Hall of Residence applications are now open for most Universities. Applications close mid-late September, depending on the Institute, however it is strongly advised to get your application in well in advance of this. Details for specific Universities can be found via the following links:

Queenstown Resort College Information Evening
Queenstown Resort College (QRC) will be holding an Information Evening in Dunedin on Monday 16th August. This will be held at the Heritage Leisure Lodge, Oaast House Room, 30 Duke Street, North Dunedin from 6.00pm-7.30pm. There will be a presentation following by a Q&A session with light refreshments provided.
