Corey (Year 13) had a very busy school holidays with Fencing. He started off with the New Zealand University Fencing Championships – which courtesy of King’s doing the Mathematics paper through Canterbury University, he qualified for. He had a great tournament, and now holds the New Zealand University Cup for Men’s Foil, and the New Zealand University Cup for Men’s Sabre!

He then went and attended the National Fencing Training Camp in Wellington and then competed in the New Zealand and Oceania Under 17 Championships. He fenced well in a strong field, and was selected for the New Zealand Foil Team which won the Silver Medal – losing to Australia in the final.
