Positive Education: Character Strengths

Dave Ross —

Character strengths are ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving that come naturally and easily to a person. They are the positive human qualities that serve as pathways for leading a good life.

Researchers have found there are 24 Character Strengths. At King’s, we encourage our students to build strengths, because we know that those who use their signature strengths are:

• Happier

• More confident

• Experience faster growth and development

• Are more engaged

• Are more satisfied.
