Students shared their views about being back at school after lockdown

Yr 9 Ali Shahoud said: 

  • "When I finished doing my work at home I had nothing else to do so I'm pleased to be back to a routine".

Mrs Brooks Yr 10 French class said that:

  • they missed Madame Brooks
  • seeing their friends
  • the concentrated learning time they get at school
  • it's easier to do school work at school

Mr Ross Yr 10 Kingsmen class said:

  • self-motivation is hard, I was challenged at home
  • I missed the canteen "I love the pies"
  • having a routine makes you feel better
  • missed friends, hanging out and talking with the teachers

Daniel Strange and Lewis Cameron Yr 11 said:

  • talking face to face with teachers is much better - "we missed Mr Lindsay"
  • the depth of learning is better at school
  • seeing friends - not that we can hug them

Mr White Yr 12 class said:

  • learning physics remotely is challenging, I felt stressed
  • learning online is repetitive and not as interactive
  • it's good to be back, I can get the reassurance I need with my work

  • not having the pain of another zoom meeting
  • I need and like a routine
  • seeing friends 'face to face'
