Te Hautoka: Otago/Southland Secondary Schools Kapa Haka Competition

He Waka Kōtuia, the King’s and Queen’s Kapa Haka group, competed at the Regional Secondary Schools Kapa Haka Competition in Invercargill this year. Many months and countless hours of practice and hard work from students, tutors and supporters culminated in an awe-inspiring and commanding performance. He Waka Kōtuia gained top place in most categories and first place overall in the competition, qualifying the group for the 2024 National Competition in Nelson. Ka rawe!
