Year 7 and 8 students got the opportunity to learn and practice Rugby skills with King's 1st XV Coaches Mr Gregg, El Rouvi, Ryan Griffith, and Highlanders Talent Development Manager Kane Jury last Friday.

The evening's primary focus was to enrich the skill sets and game understanding of the forty players attending.

During the year Mr Gregg and Mr Dickson make visits to our contributing clubs to run coaching sessions for U12 and U13 teams. All year 7 and 8 players are then invited along to experience how King’s Lions' Rugby operates our junior and senior programs.

This year we were grateful to have King’s Old Boys Mahonri Auva’a, Rohan Wingham, Nathan Hastie and Bradley McPate assist our coaches for the evening.

A huge thank you to King's 1st XV Head Coach Mr Niall Gregg, El Rouvi (1st XV Assistant Coach), Ryan Griffith (1994-1998) and Kane Jury (Highlanders Talent Development Manager) for their time and expertise.
