Under 18 Botanical Category Winner 2021, Jack Aubin (Year 10).

The Otago Museum Photography Awards 2021 ceremony was held with over 4,000 entries this year from all over Otago.  Jack Aubin (Year 10) had seven of his 10 entries selected for the exhibition. 

 At the ceremony, he was awarded the Under 18 Botanical Category Winner 2021 for his image of an Alpinia Pod taken at the Dunedin Botanic Gardens. 

Jack has been a category winner multiple times in the past in this competition but this is his first win in the Botanical Section. In addition, Jack's sister Emily won the Inaugural Otago Museum Youth Photographer of the Year Award!

The free exhibition is now open for viewing in the Science Gallery, First Floor at the Otago Museum.
