Torino Jackson was part of the South Island Scorpions U16 side that beat a strong Waikato side 26-10 to become the first South Island Scorpions team to win the National Youth Tournament! 

He was also awarded Most Promising Player for the team. Off these performances he was selected into the NZRL Aotearoa Whaanui 16s Boys Team.
