1st XI Cricket report and school information, below.

IST XI CRICKET

The team once again got to play at school last week taking on John Mc Glashan who won the toss and batted. They were soon in trouble with 7/75 after some outstanding bowling from Kasey Short (2/12 off five overs) and Jack Oaten completing his 10 over, conceding only  19 Runs.  But McGlashan's tail wagged, and they limped thru to be all out for 161.

King's run chase got off to a poor start once again losing early wickets to poor shot selection and a lack if patience.  At one stage we were 3/30 but good batting by the skipper Kyle Burns (55) and Beckham Greenall~Wheeler (25) saw us get the win after only 37 overs.

We play another club game on Saturday and then start our Interschool programme on Sunday with a two day game in Invercargill against Southland Boys'.
