Food Bank Volunteers 2022

James McPherson —

On Monday the 5th of December two separate groups of students went down to Presbyterian Support Otago to help with the sorting and storage of food bank donations. Both groups consisted of two Year 10 members of the Student Council, and two Year 9 students.

The first group of Adam Salisbury, Mrigank Das, Sam Cooper and Oliver Grubb took the morning shift, and organised the cans into categories and then boxed them.

The second group of Louis McNabb, Ian Tan, Nick Reid and Finn Boucher continued the good work in the afternoon and moved all these boxes down into the basement area before unpacking the cans from their boxes and stacking them on the shelving units for easy access and dispersal.

Well done to these boys who volunteered their time to help out the wider Dunedin community, and a big thanks to Mr Kyle who assisted with the organisation and came along for the ride.
