This annual event is organised by the Otago University Chemistry Department and includes teams from schools around the Otago and Southland regions. Teams answer questions from Chemistry and general knowledge topics.

The competition winners this year were our team of Liam Hewson, Will Scharpf, Josh Stewart and Alex van der Weerden.
A side competition is the writing of a Haiku on a Chemistry theme. Having won this last year, it was very satisfying to successfully defend this title with the following from Frazer Clarke and Aaron Hewson;
