Jack Aubin, Joe French and Marley Bennett stand out in the recent U15 Hockey Championships.

The South Island U15 Hockey Championship was held in Christchurch in the first week of the October school holidays. 

It was great to see our King's boys selected.  Jack Aubin Yr 10 and Joe French Yr 11 were both selected in the Otago U15 Blue team playing in the top tier at the championship.  Marley Bennet Yr 9 was also selected for the U15 Gold Team, second tier.

The Otago U15 team had some thrilling games and their team remained unbeaten over seven games beating two Canterbury teams along the way, to ultimately win the final against Nelson and be named South Island Champions. 

Marley Bennett was selected in the Otago U15 Gold team playing in the second tier. Their team also made the final against West Coast which was tightly contested and ended in a draw.
