Swimming Sports Final House placings: Tudor, Stuart, Windsor, Hanover

The King’s High School Swimming Sports took place last Thursday at Moana Pool. Tudor comfortably took out the House Competition, with Stuart taking out second from Windsor by a stroke-length in the last event of the day! No school records were broken this year, but some performances suggest they could be threatened over the next few years.

William McFarlane (Stuart) dominated the Year 9 competition, winning the 50m and 100m Free-style, Back-stroke and Breast-stroke along with the 25m Butterfly and 100m Individual Medley. Dan Kelleher (Windsor) beat George Fa’asega (Tudor) into second by 2 points.

The Year 10 Championship was a two-horse race between two Tudor students, with Alfie Weatherston-Harvey (5 wins, 3 seconds) topping Noah Brummitt (3 wins, 5 seconds) by 2 points. Hanover’s Jayden Burgess managed 4 third placings to grab the last spot on the podium.

The Senior Championship was a fascinating affair. Going into the 100m Individual Medley, four students were in with a chance of winning overall. Isaac Jamieson (Tudor) won the race and got himself to 11 points ahead of both Marinus Schrader (Windsor) and Kingsley Lui (Hanover) on 10 points each!

A big thank you from the House Deans to Mr Conrad, Mrs Jopson, Mr Corkhill and his 2, Yr13 PE classes (official timers!) for providing assistance with the running of the event.
