The first “Pasifika FONO” of 2023 took place on Thursday 23rd of March 2023 in the King's and Queen's Performing Arts Centre.

The FONO has always been an annual event to showcase King’s Pasifika programmes, opportunities, activities and achievements to our Pasifika families in the school. 

Mr Fielding was able to talk about Pasifika Academic achievements in 2022 and was able to highlight some key challenges and opportunities that are available for academic improvement. 

Andre Mata’afa was also able to make his introductory speech as our Pasifika Leader;  and our “King's of the Pacific” were able to have their first performance of the year. 

We were also thankful of the support from Finau Taungapeau of the Pacific Trust Otago, Amanda Slade of the I-SERVE Program and Alofa Lale of the Mercy Hospital Home Group. 

We have been very appreciative of the support shown to us during this event and we hope we will continuously strive for the best for the rest of the year.
