King's Rowing takes off

Wayne McMillan —

King's rowing competed in two regattas this past weekend; Term 4 Regatta for Secondary Schools and the Port Chalmers Rowing Club Regatta.

The young men performed well during the regattas with a second placing in the Intermediate Boys' Fours and a second in the Intermediate Boys' Quads. The Junior Boys' Quad had an impressive row and gained a deserved second place in their first race as a crew.

Well done to the squad for an impressive two days of rowing. King's rowing will move onto the Wilson Memorial Regatta, held on the 16th November at Lake Waihola. The squad are in a good position to develop their rowing skill set further during this regatta and the squad are looking forward to a successful rowing season.

Thank you for the support of the parents over the two days, it was very much appreciated by the coaches and your young men.
