Tudor has won the House Shield for 2021

Bradley Scott —

Tudor has won the House Shield for 2021 after a pulsating final day of Chess, the last event for points.

Thanks to all staff and students for their help and participation in 'house events' in what has been another trying year.

Stuart won the Chess overall, and by beating Hanover allowed Tudor to leap-frog them into 2nd, after taking care of Windsor, the rest is history for 2021!

Final Points for 2021:

Tudor 200

Windsor 195

Stuart 185

Hanover 125

A recollection of the final hour from Windsor house ...

The 2nd of November would be the day.

A lineup of Narayan Shastri, Emmanuel Keane, Juandre Rademeyer and Jayden Lewis, would face the Chess powerhouse of Stuart to seal the deal. Either a win, a draw or Hanover to beat Tudor would clinch the title.

Dead silence in B1 as we got underway. It was definitely intense.  Sweat beads starting to form, Narayan had beaten Tudor’s own Steve Salelea. Leaving all eyes glued to the final determining game, a game that could’ve gone both ways. Unfortunately, after a hard-fought battle, Windsor lost the Chess and ultimately the House Competition. Disappointing to fall at the last hurdle for the Windsor boys.

Graciously, we congratulate the 2021 House Competition winners - Tudor.
