“The Mountains are Calling, and I must go”
Thrilling adventure on Year 12 three-day Geography trip to Mt Cook, by Max Poulter
Last Wednesday, a group of 31 keen Geography students embarked on a three-day trip to the breathtaking Mt Cook region. They were immersed in the alpine environment and were lucky to have such great weather. The students conducted valuable research across a range of stunning locations. One of the many highlights included an exhilarating flight to 2,070 metres above sea level, landing on a snow-covered mountainside—a thrilling and unforgettable experience. This hands-on learning will not only enrich their understanding of alpine geography but will also support them in an internal assessment and upcoming external examinations.
