There was one new academic award introduced last night; The Bryan Frost Award for Independent / Critical thinking which is awarded to a Year 13 student who brings a critical approach to his learning.  Daylin McClintock received the award this year for his work in all areas of the curriculum, particularly in the Social Sciences.

In addition, several trophies that belong in the sporting arena were presented to the winners of the Staff/Student Sports Competition. This competition takes place throughout the year and involves; Volleyball, Touch, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis and Basketball. The presentation of the trophies to the victors of each match was made by the loser of each match and that is why Malachi Buschl, Head Boy for 2016, spent a fair amount of time crossing the stage presenting Mr Scott, the teacher in charge of this competition with six trophies, one for each match that the staff won.
